Kamayan - eating with your hands. This is a traditional method of eating by Filipinos. This is also used during a communal feast also known as "salu-salo" where food is served on banana leaves without utensils. Another term that is commonly used is "Boodle Fight," which was named after Filipino military when quick meals had to be served to the troops and there was no time for laying out plates and utensils.
COOKED BY GIO x MESTIZO PAELLA are collaborating to serve you a spread of their most popular Spanish + Filipino dishes cooked on site and laid out on the table on banana leaves.
